My good friend Anna has a simple and easy recipe to get your carpet smelling fresh and lovely in no time, I mean what else are friends for? I remember when I was young my mom, before vacuuming, would concoct this magical jar of powder that she’d hand to me as a young girl. I would grasp the heavenly smelling mason jar full of powder and herbs with both hands and sprinkle it all over the carpet, I’d go skipping up and down the halls. There was something almost naughty about the act, I was making a mess that I wouldn't get in trouble for. It’s one of my fondest memories from my childhood; one that silently comes to the forefront of my mind every when I catch a whiff of the right herbs.

Method
1-2 cups baking soda
1 heaping Tbsp. lavender a buds
small handful of dried sage
lemon essential oil
*other essential oils may be added especially if you do not have sage on hand but have sage essential oil - I typically feel like the added dried herbs are more effective in eliminating smells!.
Mix in mason jar or available container, turn on some 80’s jams, and get to shaking!
